I have hooked mine up before but, I was on direct tv and regular cable so, hmm.
And, it was a dvd recorder too so, I'm not sure if that matters |

Thanks. It is driving me crazy because I have pilates dvds that I love to use, but it is more of a workout dragging the DN box out of its little cubby hole, unscrewing the cable, dragging the DVD out of its cubby, screwing it in... |

I think it depends on your tv..if you have auzillary video inputs in the back of your tv then you just run the extra cables from the back of your dish box to the inputs on your tv and then to switch between the two you just change the input on the tv tuner..If you look in your owners manual for your siah box it should give you alternate hookup diagrams, and if not call dish network and for a fee they will send a local installer out to get you hooked up |

kinda like on older tv's with vcr's you would use an A/B switch to switch between an antenna/cable and the vcr..now it can be done with the tv tuner..usually the other inputs are going to be rca type plugs which are the fat round ones with a center pin,or an s-video which is a kinda round cable with about 5 small pins in the middle here is an example of a hi def hookup diagram with satellite and a vcr which if you replaced the vcr with a dvd player would be the same http://www.highdefforum.com/gallery/data/511/40System_Hookup.jpg |
