It's up on their official website AND their MySpace

Folks, the moment us Metallica fans have been waiting for! The 2nd new song debuted by them (the first being Cyanide, played live). I think it's a pretty good song. Some of the transitions seem akward but the song is really cool overall!

I think Metallica is back, this is by far the best thing they've written since Load/ReLoad (excluding songs like The Outlaw Torn and Fixxxer).

Date: 8/21/2008 12:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 30093    So much Fade to Black in this song. Definitely heavily inspired by their previous ballads. Decent guitar work, though it sounds a little lacking. James voice is pretty unique here, but still mixed in with a bit of his early 90s style. The drums aren't very Lars-ish at times, but they fit the song well. Rob's bass really has nothing complicated, but it doesn't need to be for a ballad like this. This, so far, is my favourite song on the album, and it's probably the least metal lol. Odd.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 30093    As for the lyrics? Well they're certainly a lot better than Cyanide.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 56359    I liked this song very much. Thanks for the link. I didn't like their last album much at all. I guess I didn't give it much of a chance though.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 30093    Screen Writer: Even for those of us who gave St Anger a chance, it was a horrible album. Their spirit was gone, and I blame Bob Rock and all that trash with the therapy and blah blah blah.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:37:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 63047    I agree with Nanaki, Bob Rock ruined them in a way. I think therapy was necessary though, as well as James' rehab. it saved the band from breaking up
Date: 8/21/2008 12:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 64498    we will see I hope your right!!!
Date: 8/21/2008 12:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 30093    It softened them to the point that they were no longer Metallica. I would rather they had broken up and not made St. Anger.
Date: 8/21/2008 12:43:00 PM  From Authorid: 64498    James needed rehab other wise he wouldnt even be here. So I am happy for that I havent liked their stuff since the Black Album but hope this one changes my mind! :O)
Date: 8/21/2008 12:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 30093    Oh yeah definitely he needed rehab. I only meant the therapy softened them.
Date: 8/21/2008 1:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 10722    Meh.
Date: 8/21/2008 3:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 64498    Yup Nan that is true... He is not as angry plus the kids came along so that softened him more.. Ever see his kids they are totally cute!!!
Date: 8/21/2008 3:23:00 PM  From Authorid: 64498    I also agree with you about St. Anger I didnt even bother buying it and I saw them way in the beginining my friend bought St Anger and didnt like it so we shall see what the new album brings I will pick it up and play it in my car
