Haha yeah right, I wish it was that simple, but unfortunately, I'll probably have to wait a million years for my hair to grow out and it will be all thin and ugly.. *sigh* Oh well.. *pout* :P |

well if you do trim it the 4 inches it will help your hair believe it or not. That way your split ends wont travel all the way up. Good luck I'm growing my hair out too It's a few inches past the shoulders |

Many people take pre-natal vitamins to help make thier hair grow faster(they are more expensive then regular vitamins) i've also heard they can help make your hair thicker.. but it doesnt work for everyone, best thing to do is take vitamins in general, get a trim every few months(just to take off the end tips) dont use a blow dryer and dont over brush |

My hair never seems to get past a certain length either! You could try taking prenatal vitamins. It must be the extra folic acid, because that's the main thing that's different from regular vitamins, but your hair and nails are supposed to grow faster when you take those. You can get them over the counter... they don't have to be prescriptions ones. Hey... I should start taking them too! LOL! |

oh also never brush it wet because it can cause damage.. if you blow dry it use the "cold shot" button when you blow dry it it causes less to almost no damage... takes a touch longer but it does help the hair |

Midnightly, haha... the weird thing is, even though I know my hair grows, I never notice it. I have naturally brown hair but dye it black and when my roots come in, it's like... what the...? It's not any longer! :P I guess it's subtle but still. |

Midnightly, usually I don't even comb my hair when it's wet.. some people say you should comb it, but I just wait till it's fully dry and then brush it.. some people would have a problem doing that, but like I said, my hair is very thin and doesn't get tangled easily anyway. |

i know the feeling i ignore it and then start to see roots and think "what the heck" then a few months later it's "jeez my hair has grown i need a cut" my hair grows ultra slow too... it took a year to get it from just past my chin to not quite half way down my back.....didnt take pre-natals though.. they were too expensive(couldnt see spending 15 bux on vitamins!) and i heard many women have morning sickness style issues while taking them(i hear that is common with them) |

i think mayo in your hair is good for it something about the egg in it...and with the jello i think it's eating it..but again there is probably no truth to it... i think(though someone can correct me if i'm wrong) it's iron that helps your hair grow because i vaguely remember my doc saying something about iron(but this was probably 2-3 years ago that i talked to him about it as you can tell i'm not a fan of doctors) |

i know that avoiding heat because your blow dryer's heat setting is something like 150+ degrees what is much hotter then the water you put on it when you shower.. and it causes damage, over brushing strips your hair.. also find a brush that works well with your hair(yes it's true! they make different brushes for different types of hair) |

go to your local beauty supply store and buy some cholesterol and slather it on your hair, wrap it up on top of your head an tie a plastic bag around it.sleep on it over night and the bag will allow the heat from your head to heat the cholesterol and it will work wonders on dry hair. it's what i do and my hair is horribly processed. wash it out in the morning and do that a couple times a week to start. it works great! |

If you're not interested in taking the prenatal vitamins, they have vitamins specifically for your hair. I take a product that is called Hair, Skin, Nails because when I was on Atkins my hair was falling out due to lack of something in carbs. Also if you get your hair trimmed on a full moon schedule it grows quicker. Don't ask me how, but this is what my hairdresser of over two years told me. Just a suggestion. I know growing your hair out is a pain in the booty. =) |

You HAVE to cut your hair to get it to grow. As weird as it sounds, it makes it stronger, and grow faster. Vitamins help, too. |

Stop dying it..that's what I did and my hair grew back great..it took a while though..I do dye it again, just not as often..and my hair is now down almost to my butt after 4 years. I get it trimmed only about an inch every 3 monthes to get rid of the split ends and I use the shampoos and conditioners designed for hair damaged from dying..it's expensive..but worth it. |

I don't know of an actual way to make it grow longer but as for the brittle a wheat germ based shampoo and conditioner should help, it helps restore hair damaged by dyes as well as prevent split ends. Also, don't wait long to cut the split ends off out of your desire to get your hair longer, it will have the opposite effect in the end because if you don't nip them in time those splits will continue going up your hair and give you that scarecrow effect, I know cause it once happened to me, I went six months without cutting at least half an inch every couple of months like I was used to and ended up having to cut 4 inches instead, definitely not a good trade off. |

Yup I do know. My hair a year ago was only like a little less then shoulder length as my hair does not grow fast. But i had been feeling kind of sick and just plain tired so my daughter said to try her prenatal pills instead of buying vitimins. So I did, and my hair grew long fast, thick and is healthy now. Try them, they work wonders. |

Patience for one, LOL. I cut my hair way to short awhile back, and it did take awhile for it to get back to the length I wanted it. Its almost down to my butt now. I say deep condition atleast once a week, I love Pantene's 3 minute deep conditioning stuff. Cut off the very ends every couple of weeks, and massaging your scalp stimulates hair growth as well. Oh yeah, and eating more protein is supposed to help too. and take your vitamins good luck! |

LMAO @ WildBob!! Conditioner! Go to your local beauty salon and see what kind of products they suggest also. I'd also try and cut the split ends. I don't really have any problems growing my hair out but once it becomes to hard to manage (tangles) then I'm ready to chop it off. Which I'm tired of dealing with it now and I'm ready to cut it. You can have the leftovers lol |

I think the scalp massage helps a bit..I'm in the process of growing out my hair. It was at the state where it just stops growing for awhile, but it's past that now...I want it to grow long enough to straighten out a bit. Or, I might cut it in a few weeks..Haven't gotten it cut in forever. |

I keep my hair soft and shiny by using lots of conditioner and leaving it in my hair for my entire shower. First thing I do is shampoo my hair, then add a conditioner (I usually use a volumizing one becuase my hair is super thin too), then I go about my shower routine and the last thing I do is wash out the conditioner. THen if I decide to blowdry or curl it, I put a leave-in conditioner first. I'm tryign to grow my hair out too, but it never grows very fast at all...judging from my roots, it's grown about 3-4 inches since late december/early January. Good luck!!! |

you cant make your hair grow any quicker, even with regular trims. I mean, think about it, if you cut the bottom of your hair (which by the way is approx 7 yrs old by the time it gets half way down your back - how crazy is that?!) how in the world is it going to make it grow faster at the roots? What trimming does do though is keep your hair in better condition and helps prevent split ends which is ESSENTIAL if you want nice long hair because if you dont cut them off then they will continue to split all the way up your hair shaft and you will have gross hair. So trim your hair every months, put in a hair mask/deep treament every week and just be gentle with it, ie: dont brush it when its wet, try not do over kiill with the blow dryer and/or straightener. good luck |
