Is Everybody Happy? ~ Hey Larry ~   Author:  5940  Category:(Poetry) Created:(10/14/2002 11:38:00 PM) This post has been Viewed (286 times) I attended a meeting of the minds The subject of which was not so kind Continue to pretend nothing's wrong As long as the facade moves along The order of the day, cover your behind After all it's the tie that un-binds Make beleive that it's all just fine Then return home, to get drunk from wine No surprise a member had left Without any word, nor any theft So now the VP has arrived And it seems you all wear a disguise Is everybody happy? I wish to ask Is everybody happy? Apparently so Is everybody happy? Playing your game IF everybody's happy, they must be insane. Is everybody happy? I have some doubts Is everybody happy? Then give a shout Is everybody happy? Why so silent IF everybody's happy, why are you crying? Forget the next meeting, I think I will pass For I care not to put up with the crass Forget the next meeting, I think I'll move on For I will be busy, seeking a new job I am no part, to the order I see It's time that I set myself free No part of your facade, or make beleive From what I can see, there's no releif No surprise the great turn-over Can't keep good help, not even when sober And so now you try to impress the VP Prevent him from what he should really see Is everybody happy? Not even close Is everybody happy? You begin to boast Is everybody happy? Why is he here IF everybody's happy, then why the tears?
