The next morning at school, Roxy ran to tell her friends while Jason overheard. " Oh my goddness!" Roxy squealed with delight," Bryan asked me out last night!" " Really?" Heather asked," I am so happy for you!" While the group beamed over how great the date would be, Roxy took a quick glance at where Jason stood listening. A gloomy look fell on to his face. The bell then rang, signaling first period, and the girls went their seperate ways toward their homerooms. Roxy took a seat beside Whitney. Whitney and her got a long well but weren't the best of friends. They usually just hung out in homeroom and constantly passed notes. The teacher never caught them. Roxy whinced when Jason took a seat in front of her. The memory of yesterday afternoon flashed through her mind. Jason some how had a way of being everywhere Roxy was. Not only was he her neighbor, but he was in all of her classes. Whenever Roxy went out to a restraunt, Jason was sure to be there. Whenever Roxy went to the mall with her friends, Jason was there with his crew. Talk about creepy! Roxy went through the first half of the day like she usually did. Finally, lunch arrived and when Roxy sat at a table outside with her crew, she filled them in on the disgusting incident that happened yesterday afternoon. " Talk about nausiating!" Heather said, obviously grossed out. " There goes my appetite!" Kat exclaimed. " Oh my gosh!," Vanessa raved, putting a hand to her mouth," There he is now!" Instantly, the girls looked where Jason sat. He and his best friend, Matt, slobbed down their food and rushed to the basketball court to play a little one-on-one. " How disgusting!" The girls criticized about how much those boys were slobs. All of a sudden an annoucement rang through out the school on the intercom. " Attention students," Mrs. Naques, the school principal, said over the intercom," On Friday, October 1st, Cresten Junior High will hold its annual Fall Dance. Students, fliers can be found in every classroom. Will everyone on the dance commitee please report to the gym immediately after school. That is all." The girls finished their lunches and headed towards their lockers, just as the bell rang ending lunch period. The rest of the school day went by fast, and before Roxy realized it, the final bell rang. Roxy rushed home. It was a beautiful day, and Roxy wanted to lay out in the sun for a while. Roxy rushed through her homework, and carefully left the house. By her house, there was a little canyon with a stream at the bottom. As a little girl, Roxy found one spot that overlooked the whole canyon. When the sun would set, from this spot you could get a beautiful scenery of peace. This spot was surrounded by bushes and was totally private. The spot was on a rock ledge and was as sturdy as possible. Roxy often sat here to think or work on her tan. Either way, it always promised her a great day. Roxy sat here for about an hour or two as the sun went down. She thought of how wonderful her date would be with Bryan the next day. Panic struck Roxy. What was she going to wear? She headed home to look for an outfit. Finally, the day had arrived. It was Friday morning. When Roxy walked through the double doors she felt different. She couldn't wait for tonight. She breezed through her classes and walked home with a different attitude then she left home with. She put her denim bellbottoms on with her hot pink spagetti strap top and put a white sweater over it. She played with her hair until she found a cute hairstyle with her dirty blonde hair wrapped up in a half bun with the ends curled. She grabbed her purse and put some lip gloss on right when the doorbell rang.
