Hairy Women

I have seen hairy women, and living in California it is even harder for some reason these women have no problem with wearing thongs, bikinis, and daisy dukes. I have often wondered what to do about this... . It is similar to the problem with people saying things to overweight individuals who wear (or rather don't wear) non appropriate clothing.

I was thinking about this even more, since I am no beauty queen myself. I am overweight (as I always have been) and I have a German decent. This is not to say that I am an Bigfoot or abominal snowbeast, but I have more hair on my arms than other women, which I wax. I wax my eye brows and sometimes my lip. (Go ahead laugh....)

But my BOSS the other day called me Macho and burly... which I will probably bring on here at a later date... and she said this partially because she is nearly hairless and I am not. She thoguht that this is masculine.

I do something about it. I wax it. I don't flaunt it.

Many women don't.

Now the question I pose for you is 1) What is accetable. Should you be able to say someting to a person who is hairier than the next because of this, whether or not they take care of it?

I think people if they are going to say somehting should have some tact, and if they are not going to be nice they should be prepared for he onslaught that may follow.... What do you think?

Date: 8/12/2002 3:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 61811    personally i think that they should mind their own buisness and not talk about how hairy u are. i think it's rude! wfp
Date: 8/12/2002 3:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 56293    Hey maybe they like alittle hair! LoL. I personally wouldn't say anything. What your boss was rude and unacceptable! SoCiaLSLaCkeR0
Date: 8/12/2002 4:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 46527    I think it is none of their business. We all have our imperfections ie: overweight, crooked teeth, big noses etc etc and we should not be made to feel embarrased by the thoughless remarks of others. The people that make these kinds of remarks suffer the greatest imperfection of all, that of rudeness!
Date: 8/12/2002 4:07:00 PM  From Authorid: 53284    I don't think that it is polite to comment on another persons body, unless they specifically asked you a question. "Do these pants make my but look big? Then you could answer, but I always think that a little tack is in order.
Date: 8/12/2002 4:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 59214    Wanna know something great?

Why do people have eye brows? Because the hairs partially absorb sweat and stop rain from going into the eyes. It's a natural thing. Like hair on underarms and legs. Legs for warmth.

So that means if this woman is 'hairless' lol, she's lower on the chart of geneitic evolution! In onther words, if you two lived in the wild she'd die because of antural selection. :-)

You are a more perfect physical human being than her.

Date: 8/12/2002 4:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 53052    i don't think people should make fun of hairy people some people(like in yoru position) can't help but be hairier they the fair hair fair skinned woman, women should not have to feel like they have to shave and wax to be acceptable!!
Date: 8/12/2002 4:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 22852    I think your boss is rude, and hey there is nothing wrong with being of German decent. I am part German and proud of it. As for the hair issue, well I have been lucky not to have inherited that gene but my sister did and I would never dream of hurting anyones feelings over their hair. Your boss needs to take a few lessons in class.
Date: 8/12/2002 4:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 42945    yes hun I think its very rude of your boss to talk to you like that, I agree with you that if women have a problem with being too hairy and they want to do something about it, thats kewl, and if they dont, well thats kewl also, but if people cant say something nice to someone about what they have noticed regarding this, well, they shouldnt comment at all..that how I feel anyway...hugs Zema
Date: 8/12/2002 4:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 26779    i have hair on my arms and legs. i love it and alot of people i know love it. Sometimes i do come across a dumb and rude idiot. i'll tell him/her if you don't like it don't look. did i comment on how you look cause your not perfect. you look at him/her and wait for em to say nothing.
Date: 8/12/2002 4:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 8184    Your boss is rude!
Date: 8/12/2002 8:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 52419    You can't say something to a woman just because she is hairy. It might not be nice (for you) to look at, but it's her choice. Mickle
Date: 8/12/2002 9:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 27270    Commenting about one's hair is just as rude as commenting about their boobs/butt, etc. Some things just ARE the way they ARE. Nothing good can come from it, so to each his/her own, I say
Date: 8/13/2002 1:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 177    Guess what? I think a woman who has a little arm-pit hair is sexy.
Date: 8/13/2002 4:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 51173    I live in the Deep South - women shave here. (Partly for asthetics and partly because it is just too blessed hot!) But your Boss is rude. Is he insinuating you are a lesbian because you have more hair than "acceptable"? Ignore this jerk. Shaving is an asthetic for women, not a necessity. Tom
Date: 8/13/2002 10:02:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 61830    I do shave, by the way. LOL
Date: 8/13/2002 10:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 54196    I think your boss sexually harrassed you and you should sue her hairless butt off. Make it enough to pay for laser hair removal. And try to get a hairy lady judge.
Date: 8/13/2002 10:59:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 61830    My boss is female, and married... We are in California, but I doubt that it would fly. lol...
Date: 8/15/2002 1:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 51070    It makes me irate when people judge others based on the way they look! I'm ten pounds overweight and I hate shaving my legs (I do it rather reluctantly!). I won't wear a bikini mostly because I just don't feel comfortable and I'm very busty. You should give your boss the finger. I'm sorry, but people can wear what they want, whenever they want. It's their own business. And no, people should not point out other peoples' faults - it shows lack of breeding and class. It's bad manners! My grandma tells me I have a mustache, which I definitely do not! If I did, people, besides her, would notice it, which nobody does.
Date: 8/17/2002 12:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 50435    Some women are hairier than others. Some women are blonde, some are brunette. Bottom-line: Who cares? If someone has a problem with it then it is THEIR problem, not the problem of the hirsute woman...
Date: 9/30/2002 11:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 12103    I think the way someone looks is their business...not anyone elses.
