Siting in self inflicted, decided gloom, I see him sitting across the room.
Eyes lock in a united stare, heart shattered, but do I care?
He stands, saunders my way as the music starts to hum nerves start to quake, do I stay, or do I run?
Slowly, he approaches, extending his hand, Don't be silly, it's just one dance, just one man.
He pulls me slowly into his embrace, I look into his eyes, seeing what can't be the case.
Heart's been broken in utter despair, To uncertain, not willing to care.
He speaks his first words, they soothe and delight, uncertain yet, still guarded in fright.
Sensing inside, he's light with his touch, not wanting to pressure or demand to much.
Looking for love, just one that will last, blocking the fears that haunt from the past.
Enclosed in his warm embrace, only gentleness and kindness, do I see on his face.
Is it posibble to hope that real love has now been found, Joy and happiness unblocked, now abounds.
In the words of Jody Masena, "I'm not looking for a fantasy, Just one man, that will stand by me."
