Hmmm I don't mean to be nosy but what kind of stuff are you doing that makes people go running to your mom and dad? I say stick it out and soon enough you'll be old enough to move away..but I guarentee you someday you will miss that small town feeling (even the nosy neighbors) *hugs* |

I think it is a Parents Unwritten Law to keep each other informed on the kids behavior.. :) Actually it is better that way because it shows people do CARE... |

I have 2 kids myself and the only time anyone tells me what they are doing is when it is bad. And they always say while I was setting drinking my coffee(bored) Midnight Momma |

I agree with Midnight Momma. Also, I think that people think that other people's lives are so much more interesting, and exciting, and it takes their minds off of their own problems, to focus in on someone else.~Golden Taxi. |

I understand perfectly heartbroken. That is a tough situation to be in and I know how important privacy is for teens. Maybe if you earn your parents trust they might lighten up a little. I personally believe that when you trust your child they are more apt to live up to it. and by the way...I also think that if you are a responsible 13 year old there is nothing wrong with you dating a 16 year old..but..Don't let me catch you smoking. *glare* *hugs* |

How old are you? I know in my neighborhood when I see a kid doing something that they should not do, I let them know. I'm not being mean or nosy, I'm simply looking out. I would want for someone to do this for my kids too. 'Razzles' |

I use to live in a town like yours. Everyone knew my mom and told her everything I did. I could not get away with anything. But I think in some ways that is good and bad. At the time it was bad. I felt eyes watching me all the time. |

I live in a small town to and I know what you mean. Are you doing something wrong thats getting your neighbors involved. I was always thankful when people told me things about my kids, it was a matter of prevention and intervention. Other people whom seenm nosy to you could actually care about you and your parents. You need to remember this, you have only one reputation and thats either good or bad and IT WILL FOLLOW YOU THROUGH LIFE!! You may think you don't care now but you will. I have four children and all four put me through a different kind of hell. I cared enough to fight back and keep my position as a mother. Now, they are grown and they have thanked me many times over. Until you have children, you will never know the depth of that love. I wish I had parents to love, I only have memories,. I had bad times and good times with my mother to but now that she's gone, only the good memories live in my heart. I have a thought for you to ponder," However time or cirumstance may come betwwen a mother and her child, their lives are interwoven forever." |
