Yep...I don't like being complimented...for so many reasons that will no doubt have me paying some shrink $100 an hour to sort out *smile*...but on the whole I prefer to be humble...thats why I don't like compliments. Peace,  |

it seems like everytime I receive a compliment I feel like I am honor bound to make sure I am worthy of it and I stress myself out so much over it that I eventually do something stupid almost as if I am trying to prove that I wasn't worth the compliment. Maybe I was? Anyway, I just kind of ignore most compliments know and I think that for the most part people are being polite when they do unless it is someone who has gained my respect over many years of enduring my nonsence. For those people I just say, "Thanks."  |

I have a hard time accepting compliments about how I look..mainly becuz I have low self esteem and I don't like what I look like. So when someone says I'm pretty..I think they are just saying that to be nice. (I know..I'm stupid..lol)  |

If someone compliments me for something I have said or done without making a big issue out of it,then I can easily accept a compliment..But..If they put me forward and I am in the limelight, then no..I feel very awkward and uncomfortable.. In other words,I like being appreciated but I don't like being the star..  |
