I grew up in the south, the DEEEEP south, and have had a few run-in's with what I think were ghosts, None of them have ever been proved; but then again, how exactly do you prove that a ghost is or is not real? I will post most if not all of these before it's over but for right now I will tell you about an apartment that I recently lived in. It is in the heart of Center City Philadelphia and is currently being lived in by someone else; therefore, the name of the apartment building will not be mentioned (Hey, I do not want to take the chance my ex-land lord just might find this and try to sue me!) So anyway, the place was incredibly small especially For two pack rats like my girlfriend and myself so we sectioned it off where I had a small area to work on model cars right next to the front door. Many nights I would sit there with headphones on playing CD's as not to wake my girlfriend up and I would feel someone walk up behind me ( if you have ever walked on an old wood floor you know that the boards in the floor move just a little and if you are sitting in a chair that is on that board you feel it) but when I turned around no one would be there. One night I told my girlfriend about this and also that earlier that I had felt like there was someone watching my while I watched T.V. and it felt like the person was in the room with me not outside the window. We started talking about it and she said that she had been having the same feeling. Well then told her that I had caught sight of her standing in the hall some nights out of the corner of my eye but when I turned to face here she was not there, again she said the same had happened to her once or twice. Well about that time our cat began his nightly thing in the hall and for the first time we sat and watched what he was doing (rubbing on the wall, staring at one spot about stomach high and meowing up a storm) . Again we talked and came to the conclusion that the place on the wall that the cat was now rubbing up against was where we both thought we had seen the other standing when in fact there was no one there. So now we started looking more closely at that spot on the wall and when I ran my hand over the spot that it seamed that he was staring I found that it was cold to the touch. A friend of ours did a tarot reading and came up with a man being torn between two woman one young and one older and well I forget the rest . I once photographed that area with a digital camera and when I looked at the photos there was a stain on the wall there; however, the camera was PC and I had a Mac and I had to get someone to download them and email them to me, he never did and I lost touch with him. I know this sound's so much like an urban legion and without those photos it's little more but it is interesting isnt it? We had lived in the apartment for about six months when we discovered this thing and about a year and a half after and nothing bad ever happened to us, in fact The feeling became such a comfort that I miss it.
How it changed my life:I felt safe there and even though my girlfriend and I hardly ever got to see one another because of her college class’ and my working I never felt like I was alone while I was there nor did my girlfriend. Come to think of it I really do miss what ever it was.
