I saw Ground Zero last night...MMC

I was in New York last night. My friend and I decided to check it out. We didn't get a full view like you see on TV. Everyone is right, it is much worse in person.

How it changed my life:

Life and Liberty are much more sacred to me after the attacks. After seeing the carnage a month later, they are not only sacred, they are vital.

Date: 10/14/2001 8:30:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 2734    All around it is sad too. Walking around NYC, you see posters with a missing person on it. The posters are usually listing birth marks, tattoos or scars. There are signs all over NYC, some homemade, some professionally done, praising the heroes, our country or showing sympathy to those who lost loved ones. Nearly every store has a flag. There are still messages written on store windows in the dust. People walked away crying and it was hard for me to hold back the tears when I saw them...
Date: 10/14/2001 8:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 16865    It is always much worst when we can experience it for ourselves. It connects then. Very sad.

Date: 10/15/2001 5:13:00 AM  From Authorid: 22852    I myself went to NY 2 weeks ago and just couldn't bring myself to go over the bridge. It was bad enough across the river. It was very sad indeed.

Date: 10/22/2001 3:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 43655    I saw a segment on one of the news shows a couple of weeks back, in which a young ER doctor's wife has been reported missing. She is of East Indian descent. I wonder if anyone has heared anymore about this case? -Captain Skeezix-
Date: 10/22/2001 3:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 43655    It seems incredible that "ground zero" is still the mass grave of several thousand people. -Captain Zkeezix-
Date: 10/22/2001 3:54:00 PM  From Authorid: 43655    ....not meaning to be morbid...but, I doubt if scars or tattoos would matter now.
Date: 7/18/2002 10:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 35160    omg, i bet that was a very hard thing 2 see.. i still get upset when i see some pics. but it helps the healing process. i only hope those poor ppl can find peace ... 8^( huggs shay
