Hmmm, I wonder the same thing at times.I never read it in the 10 commandments, but I have come across it in other parts of the Bible.I, for one,have learned that sometimes people want to believe it is immoral and wrong,not that it is.Maybe they are scared of they're own sexuality,or maybe they fear what they do not understand...and that is what leads to hate.I am not sure, but I believe that each person has a right to they're own sexuality, and it should not be dictated by any book or any person.  |

I don't recall reading in the Bible that anyone should be hated. Maybe I'm wrong but I think it simply states that it's an abomination, as you said. This Book is called the Bible..The Bible is God's insructions to mankind which He created..If the source of our existence tells us that He created all things for a purpose and He created man and woman for the purpose of reproduction,then He has that right..God has the right to tell us what He expects of us..Since our Creator knows what good and evil is and He knows WHY He created mankind, then just WHO are we to think that we know more than the ONE who created us?God says that murder, lying,cheating,stealing,indecencies or immoral acts are wrong or evil..Now..Why should we treat those who do such crimes any different?..We draw a line don't we?..God also draws lines as to what is good or evil..Since God knows all things,He knows why homosexuality is indecent and immoral.. He knows what happens when two men come together as a man and wife..Our physical makeup itself teaches us that this very act is disgusting..Man has been given the necessary equipment to enter into a woman,who also is equiped with the necessary equipment for obvious reasons.A man does not have the necessary equipment for the purpose of reproducing another human with another of the same gender..It is so very obvious..Now.. We are all human,but..God expects the same thing from all humans..If we take it on ourselves to go against what our Creator tells us that is good or right,then we have no one but ourselves to blame in the end..If we go against what our Creator tells us,then it is the choice one makes whether they become an abomination unto their Creator or if they choose to do that which is pleasing unto Him..Regardless,homosexuality will always be an abomination unto God..He will not change His mind,no matter how many people argue or disagree with Him..  |

man made rules are the reason the bible said this. man has always never agreed with homosexuality and it will take a long time to cope with it. they were so against it then because the world needed to grow and it was all about reproduction. that is why the bible says it is wron to be gay. now it should not be looked at in the same manner, because we now have problems with over population. i dunno. seggregation is a good thing though, at least till all the bigots die off...  |

Just like you believe that homosexuality is ok, others believe the Bible. For someone that has faith in what it says this is how they would respond. Well 42792 and 3125, why do male animals (I have seen this mainly in dogs, but occasionaly in other animals) try to (and do) hump other male animals. You would think that they would know the difference eh? I don't think that there is a bunch of procreating there. From what I understand, Christianity is all about love. For heavens sake, Jesus hung out with hookers and thieves, because he loved them, not judged them.  |

Yes, you are correct, many animals do engage in homosexual activity but they do not mate for life with same sex. As I said I don't have a problem with it. I believe the question was why is the Bible against Homosexuals...that is what I responded to. I am not. My best friend is a lesbian. I don't agree with her choice but I love her. I wouldn't do it but I am not afraid of it nor do I hate it. I simply do not agree with it. I believe that is my choice, is it not???? NKA |

If you are a person who believes in the bible: Yes the bible does say that homosexuality is an abomination. The bible also says "Judge not lest ye be judged". I guess what I am trying to say is, try not to worry about what other people think about your personal beliefs. You ultimately do not have to answer to them anyway. |

MMC..I agree that animals do attempt to "hump" each other...But..Are we not far above animals.. God does not hate homosexuals(he hates homosexual acts). Homosexuality is a sin. God said that homosexuality is an abomination. No one is born gay, homosexuality is a choice, there is no scientific evidence anywhere to even suggest that people are born this way. So because of what I believe in, I can't go by what you ask me to do, then I will be dishonoring God. I cannot even recognize same sex unions as married couples. So I cannot give married benifits to homosexual couples. I am sure that I am being hateful, to your standards. But to my standards it would be more hateful to sit back and not warn you what is to come. |

No cultures or societies have accepted homosexuality up until now because it is not a natural act (as freegirl said). Much like beastiality. I don't agree with it, but it does state in Leviticus 18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman....", an act of which was punishable by death.(20:13) Of course, the bible also says if you curse your mother or father, you should be put to death.(20:9) Personally, if anything should be upheld in the bible, I'd go with Deuteronomy 22:25-29, although I don't think the guy should be killed ONLY if he rapes a married woman, at the very least remove the offending parts. But, as I was told growing up in Catholic school, the bible is not a story to be read cover to cover, it is a volume meant for interpretation to aid one in the correct paths through life. My interpretation of the bible, is that god was a bit more strict before he became a father, striking people dead and whatnot. The new testament has him all forgiving of our sins and such, so I don't know why people can't just live and let live. I do know I sure wish they would, though. -ShadowMoon- |

Hitler hated Jews because he was part of a small anti-sematic social group called the Nazis before WW2. They had a belief that Aryans were once giants that ruled the earth, free of disease and lived in euphoria. But their paradise was supposedly destroyed by the ratty, filty jews. They supposedly were so greedy that they destroyed the land, raping it of it's resources for their own selfish needs. So the only pure aryans now live in the center of the earth.
