Not a bad question. I know that when someone dies we grieve for ourselves, 'cos WE aren't going to see them anymore. WE will miss them etc. But love has so many different facets, the love one has for parents, hubby, children, art, hobbies, friends, etc is all different. Take care, |

Good analysis... However do we love those things for our own selfish endeavors |

Last year I watched my grandmother slowly die right before my eyes...something I will never forget. I freely admit for my own selfish reasons I didn't want her to be taken away from me. She was the one person that actually cared...the one person I could talk to...the one person that I truly felt comfortable around...then she was taken away from me. A big part of me died that day. Man, for her I would've gladly died instead........ |

Well, probably many of you will think that love for yourself is selfishness, it probably is, but to show love to someone else is the best thing, it is better when you show love to this person and that person loves you back, a smile, a look, a kiss is everything sometimes. Donfifo. |

Sometimes I think you need to love yourself before you can love anyone else... I don't know why I think that. I guess maybe that sometimes it just seems easier to tell if you love someone or not by knowing what it is like to love. So basically I think love for yourself helps you to love others. Does that answer your question? Sorry if it doesn't. I'm kinda sick and have no idea what I am talking about. :) |

Either way you express it it's still love. And I'll prove it; love is a two way street. |
