That's pretty well thought out and your probably right about that for most people but some of us who are considered "goth" never really intended to be. I for one, just happen to love the color black so I wear it all the time. I also am more of a night person and don't really like to be out in the daytime. I'm pretty shy so I don't really have alot of friends so I keep to myself alot. Okay yeah I do happen to like alot of heavy metal but I also like alot of other music too. But I still get labeled as a "gothic" person. Personally I don't really think you should stereotype people. I mean get to know a person first before you pass judgement on them. |

Well, in some ways I agree with you and in some other ways I don't. I don't consider myself an angry person. In fact I live a pretty happy life. But I appreciate the darker things in life as well as the brighter things....I just appreciate all things. I don't neccesarily (sp?) enjoy black metal or heavy metal that much (in fact, Metallica's "Enter Sandman" is really the only song I listen to). I actually listen to rock or classical more often. I do feel like an outcast sometimes, however. But that's what makes me so special. But you're right, not all goths are devil worshipers :) (I am Christian). =Odd= |

*rolls eyes* You cannot BECOME Goth. Goth is not something that can be learned, or conformed to.If you are just being your true self, and you can be described as Gothic, then you are Goth, but if you have to CHANGE the way you currently are to "become" Goth, then you are NOT.That is posing.I hate that.*can't stand Mansonites,"vampires", or Little Doom Cookie KinderBats*. |

ppl are just too confused about what Goth is, even most of the ppl who claim to be Goth.It is a very misunderstood personality trait. |

Yeah. I have seen that site before. It is not a realiable source @ all.The ppl that made that site were regular ppl, they weren't Goth, and their word has no validity to it.everything on that site is stereotypical heresay and conjecture.I've been to the site a few times actually.I have a good idea!!!! I found this really great site one time that said things pretty well. It's a much better and much more valid site than this one, so I'll look for the link, and I'll brb and leave it here. |

Hey Dopey, good post, I think this is true in a lot of cases of "goths" although I don't like that term (its overused and overgeneralized) lol, try to keep that "tostostorian" of yours under control, hahaha. You were trying to spell testosterone right? lol that is tooo funny! :) *~blondie~* |

Actually we Goths are just the people who think differently. We let it show through our music and clothes. |
