The original submission written by me has been removed. To avoid Radman & Ginger having problems with search engines I have left my posts instead of deleting them, I have just removed the original text. All posts that I have done that are not creative or personal submissions that I don't care much about have been left as they were originally posted. If you are on this post via a search engines please look around the site, there are many great postings on this site of various subjects. I will not be posting at USM any more. After 4 dedicated years on the site I've decided to move on. If you are interested in reading any of my work feel free to email me at crimzen@hotmail.com I should have a site soon where all my work will be featured.

Date: 4/20/2001 8:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    Great thoughts, Phe! (but what are you gonna do when that baby gets here? you'll need to check the clock every once in a while.... drs are real big on "How often do they eat?", "How long do they sleep?"....LOL.... I tell you... kids really put a crimp in MY clock avoidance! We now have an actual SCHEDULE (YUK!!).... and I don't much like having to look at a clock either!)
Date: 4/20/2001 8:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 23610    Wow Phe...scary! I'm the same way...no watches...hate clock...never have totally understood the concept of time and it's importance. Interesting post! -Lady Nyx
Date: 4/20/2001 8:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 609    lol Mercury, good point...think Ill just play it by ear and go by the sun lol.
Date: 4/20/2001 8:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 10245    sounds like a good plan! Hope it works out for ya!
Date: 4/20/2001 8:47:00 PM  From Authorid: 26708    Hmm...its true that it makes you nervous, but without making people nervous and feeling like everything has to be a "countdown" then everybody would have only their natural pace to rely upon as for how they work, live, and how the human race in general suceeds and advances. Time recognition is perhaps in itself the key determining factor that makes us, unlike the other species of the planet, "advancers". We build and discover, and improve from those who came before us, and all because of time. Other animals have only instinct and parenting to rely on for knowledge, and because of this they can never progress their species. Time equates nervousness, but it also equates progress. Without recognizing time, and we are back in the dark ages. ~Android
Date: 4/20/2001 9:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 177    Interesting. However, sometimes if I'm in a bad mood and somebody asks me what time it is (I've always been a watch wearer) I'm sometimes tempted to tell them "it's time to buy a watch".
Date: 4/20/2001 10:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 16815    OMG! You are so right on this! I totally agree and even posted a quote a long while back that had to do with something like this. It does make one think, does time even exist? It does in the minds of the vast majority of people, but does time really even exist within the universe itself? I don't think so.
Date: 4/21/2001 6:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 5940    Interesting concept. I never thought of it that way. See, I don't wear a watch because I am surrounded by clocks all the time at work. We are a foodservice mfg. plant, and aren't allowed to wear watches, jewelry, etc. due to safety and manufacturing policies. You would'nt belive the collection of watches I have gotten from my parents over the last 6 years! LOL! They seem to think I must be absent minded if I don't have a watch! Hee Hee! But I like the way you put it, and tend to agree with you!
Date: 4/21/2001 8:53:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 609    TC- ok well I understand ya there lol and I do have a 'time peice' buts its out of site and really only gets used when I have appointments. Its a little pocket watch I have attached to my purse in a little pocket. It was a x-mas gift and since I got it I've used it a total of 5 times lol. But at least its out of site. -RBW- makes you wonder if man created time, everything in the universe has its own calander that it follows, and its all in tune with everything else...we seem to be the only ones to push ourselves over such a silly little thing as hands and a face. --Larry- Good to see you again. My parents gave up on watches as presents since they always seemed to get mysteriously broken around me lol.
Date: 4/22/2001 7:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 8453    I totally agree with ya Phe..i always feel that time, in itself, runs my life..it sometimes feels as though its not the activity i'm doing that i'm paying attention to, but its the time or amount of time i have to do it..time is a burden to me, but i still gotta live with it
Date: 4/22/2001 10:39:00 AM  From Authorid: 28324    Thats why i dont wear a watch.
Date: 4/22/2001 11:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 17693    Very nice post. And i have to admit that i HONESTLY use to think exactly like you. But it wasnt till i started school this year, that i started caring about the time. I use to just sit there and go "oh class is over" and didnt constantly look at the clock or ask someone what time it was? And it really did feel good. I do want to go back like that. Summer time sort of helps me in doing that. Not anymore though...jobs, summer courses. UGH! How do you go to work and all w/o people shouting and getting on you?
Date: 4/23/2001 4:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 30228    Yeah...that's true. I understand what you are saying. I recently have felt the same way.
Date: 5/10/2001 4:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 35961    I totally agree, from the dawn of time, thats all that man thinks about IS time... the old lines "time is money" and other things prove that. time can cause great stress, but it would be impossible to live without it, what i think im gonna do is once a week or month, or similiar make a day where i have nothing to do... and just live the day how it comes. no rushing, and no worrying. thats something maybe we should all think about.. thats my opinion.
