I went to lunch today with some colleagues and they started talking about a Ghost that supposedly haunts the building we work in! I had never heard this before, but they talked about how people would come into work and find their offices changed around, or the computer on when they know they turned it off. This same thing has happened to me SEVERAL times in the year and a half I have worked there, but I never before considered that it could be the workings of a Ghost! (Although our CEO has told me several times in the past that he thinks the place is haunted, and that I shouldn't stay in the building alone after dark. But it just didn't click in my head that the things I've experienced could have been done by a ghost!)
Just a few days ago, when I got to work, all the chairs were re-arranged! The chair I usually sit in was pushed against the wall on the opposite side of my desk, my "visitors" chairs were behind my desk pushed against the wall, and another chair I have in my office had been moved to my assistant's office! I was irritated that someone had been in my office without asking, but now I'm wondering if it wasn't a ghost!?!?
Other strange things have happened like a picture I keep on the bookcase keeps getting moved to my desk, and my computer is sometimes turned on when I get in. And a video tape that I have had in the same place for the past several months has suddenly disappeared!
So . . . what do you guys think?! Is this a ghost? Is there any way for a regular schmoe like me to be able to tell if a ghost is present? Nothing weird has ever happened while I was there, it only happens when I'm not there!
