The 1898 Canarsie Cow Mutilation September 19th, 1898, Elmer Hennessey, a dairy farmer in Canarsie, awoke to find his cow pasture littered with the remains of two dozen or so of his cows. Upon further investigation, Mr. Hennessey discovered the cows had been severely mutilated. He noted that most had one or several organs missing. All the animals eyes were gouged out. The remaining herd was safe inside Mr. Hennessey's barn, just as he had left them the night before. Elmer ruled out the possibility that his cows were killed by wild animals. The barn was securely closed the night before. The cows could not have gotten out, nor could any other animal have gotten in. Also, there was an absence of blood in and around the cows. Mr. Hennessey felt that wild animals could have removed the organs and eyes, but the wild animal theory could not explain the lack of blood. Elmer was convinced the killing was done by a neighboring dairy farmer, and long time rival, John Beaumont.
Shotgun in hand, Elmer traveled to Beaumont's farm to confront him. Upon arriving he saw that a number of Beaumont's animals had also been mutilated. Before Elmer could relay his story, Beaumont charged Hennessey, blaming him for his dead cows. A scuffle ensued. In the end Joseph Beaumont, John's son, ended up shooting himself in the foot, earning him the nickname "Stumpy Joe". When things calmed down, Hennessey and Beaumont called on the local authorities for assistance. No other area farmers reported anything out of the ordinary. There were no reports of wild animals in the area. The mutilations went unexplained.
(This report is similar, if not identical to the many recent reports of animal mutilations which have occurred around the world the past several years. Many blame these mutilations on secret government experiments ..Was this the case in 1898 as well?)

How it changed my life:I don't think it is the govt. if it was happening way back then..
