I'm a full fledged Republican. Nothin else will do, I can't stand Democrats (no offense to anyone out there) Maybe it'd be better to say democratic politicians. Either way, I don't like em. You might say that I'm a Republican fanatic even. |

The break down is what we have now; Mayor, Govener, President. Then of course there is the Senate, where each state has 2 reps to represent it. And the house that has reps according to population. I think it works well. To answer the other question, usually I go republican. Jetamio |

Give me a republic where individual freedom is cherished and protected. The United States was supposed to be set up on this principle, but now we are a democratic society, where the majority rules and individualism is mocked. Free Girl |

I am registered as an Independent. I rarely vote for the party itself, prefering to vote for the person instead. |

First of all, you're assuming that all readers of this post are American, hence your choices of Republican and Democrat only. Isn't this kind of a wrong assumption since this site appears on the World Wide Web?

To the unknown author: I do not assume for everyone who may read this post as American. The title "Democrat? Republican..." was just to be able to grab the readers attention due to the recent surge of peoples' intrest in politics, which I think is a very good thing. If you read through the story itself, I use exacples from Machiavelli, who was not from America sadly. Thank you for your comment, and I apologise for any confusion. |

I am a republican because I thought my grandparents were. However, I came to find out that they are Democrats! LOL Even though I am a Republican, I don't limit that to my choice for anything, I go by the better candidate, rather than the political party in which he or she belongs. |

I am an Anarchist.I believe in no form of authority or government, but I know that would never fly, so I am a Republican, because I realize that the Republican party is more LOGICAL than the Demeocrat party.Because FREEDOM is more important than government control over our lives. |
